The Kardashians certainly made a bold statement with their style choices as they watched Kourtney get married — and there’s a good reason for that.
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s wedding was sponsored by Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana, we learned.
It won’t come as a surprise to fans who watched eagerly as the weekend wedding extravaganza unfolded in the Italian coastal town of Portofino, with members of the Kardashian family stepping out exclusively in pieces from the brand’s iconic range.
There was clearly a glamorous, gothic inspiration to the lavish nuptials – and everyone stuck to the theme.
Kourtney herself wore a one-of-a-kind Dolce & Gabbana lace and satin corset mini dress, complete with a luxurious veil, which had a depiction of the Virgin Mary as well as hand-embroidered flowers on it.
Tulle gloves and lace pumps completed the look, while her new hubby’s black double-breasted suit was another Dolce & Gabbana creation.
Kim Kardashian donned a bodycon black lace dress with a high neck and wore her platinum locks in a bun. She accessorized with a gold cross necklace.
Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian matched her sister in an off-the-shoulder black lace dress, complete with black gloves and an extravagant gold headpiece, which she then traded in for a small gold crown.
Kendall Jenner opted for a sleeveless pastel floral dress with a high neckline, and Kylie Jenner was in a fitted metallic dress with black straps and floral details.
Mother of the bride Kris Jenner – who walked her daughter down the aisle – went all out in a floor-length dusty pink dress with feathered detailing.
A Wedding Collaboration Worth Millions
Kourtney and Travis not only chose the Italian fashion house to design their outfits for their big day, but also transported guests from the hotels to Portofino Harbor by luxury speedboats outfitted with iconic D&G accessories, including brightly printed cushions.
According to the Daily mailthe company was closely involved in the planning of the lavish wedding, while staff from the Milan headquarters were even recently deployed to the city to help with logistics.
The collaboration between D&G and the Kardashians is said to be worth millions and millions of dollars in free publicity.
To capitalize on the expected flow of public interest, the designer brand opened a pop-up store earlier this week in the market square next to Portofino harbour.
“The opening of the store is entirely due to the marriage,” an insider says Daily mail.
The Kardashians certainly held up their end of the bargain on their trip to Italy, sharing plenty of photos of their Dolce & Gabbana outfits with their massive Instagram fan base.
Kourtney and Travis trained a lot before their Italian affair. They originally “got married” in a fake Las Vegas wedding in April. After the internet went up in flames with their spontaneous nuptials, page 6 exclusively confirmed that the ceremony was just for fun, as they had not obtained a marriage license.
The couple then legally wed at the downtown Santa Barbara courthouse on May 15. Kourtney’s grandmother, Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell, and Travis’ father, Randy Barker, were in attendance for the nuptials.
For the second ceremony, the reality TV star wore another short white Dolce & Gabbana dress, while the rocker wore an all-black suit.
“Till death do us part,” she captioned black-and-white photos from the low-key day.
After being friends for more than a decade, Travis proposed to Kourtney at the Rosewood Miramar Beach Hotel in Montecito in October 2021 after a year of dating.
