FFXIV Update 6.11a Patch Notes (May 24)

After almost 4 hours of downtime, now it’s time to download FFXIV Patch 6.11a and resume your adventure in Old Sharlayan, but if you’re curious about the changes made via this update, let’s take a look at the patch notes.

A new update is now live for Final Fantasy XIV on all platforms, fixing a number of issues as well as adjusting PvP battle system balance changes.

As expected, Patch 6.11a does not deliver any new playable content to the game, however, you can expect a balanced PvP experience in the game, with multiple changes that have been made to different classes.

‌Combat System – PvP

arms breaker

Stock Adjustment
Coarsely divide No Mercy additional effect damage and healing power increase changed from 10% to 20%.
Relentless Rush The additional effect “reduces damage taken by 25%” has been added.

Bard

Stock Adjustment
Power Shot Base power increased from 3000 to 4000.
Empyrean Arrow Potency increased from 3000 to 4000.

Machinist

Stock Adjustment
Drill Potency increased from 9000 to 10000.
Power under the effect of analysis increased from 18000 to 20000.
Bioblaster Duration of damage over time effect increased from 9 seconds to 12 seconds.
Chain saw Potency increased from 10,000 to 12,000.

Dancer

Stock Adjustment
Sharpen the dance The additional effect “reduces damage taken by 20%” has been added.
Fan dance Potency increased from 4000 to 5000.

Black Magus

Stock Adjustment
Fire Astral Fire II effect duration increased from 15 to 30 seconds.
Snow storm Umbral Ice II effect duration increased from 15 to 30 seconds.
To burst Potency increased from 12000 to 16000.
Barrier power increased from 12000 to 16000.
Paradox Now a charged action with a maximum of 2 charges.
night wing The half-sleep effect now also reduces movement speed by 50%.
Duration of half-sleep effect reduced from 4 seconds to 3 seconds.
Sleep effect duration reduced from 4 seconds to 3 seconds.
Fire IV Cast time reduced from 1.92 to 1.44 seconds.
Astral Fire III effect duration increased from 15 seconds to 30 seconds.
To burst Cast time reduced from 1.92 to 1.44 seconds.
Damage dealt to primary target increased from 8000 to 12000.
Blizzard IV Cast time reduced from 1.92 to 1.44 seconds.
Umbral Ice III effect duration increased from 15 to 30 seconds.
Freeze Cast time reduced from 1.92 to 1.44 seconds.
Damage dealt to primary target increased from 8000 to 12000.
soul resonance Now grants Apocatastasis, reducing damage taken by 20% for 15 seconds.

Summoner

Stock Adjustment
Slipstream Potency increased from 6000 to 8000.
Windstorm power increased from 3000 to 4000.
Radiant Aegis Damage reduction increased from 10% to 20%.
Barrier power increased from 8000 to 10000.
mountain breaker Potency increased from 2000 to 4000.
Revelation Potency increased from 3000 to 6000.

Red Mage

Stock Adjustment
Melee Damage reduction changed from 20% to 10%.

Astrologer

Stock Adjustment
Beneficial aspected Base healing power increased from 4000 to 5000.
Maximum healing power reduced from 12000 to 10000.
* Patch 6.11 help text was incorrect, stating a base power of 4000 and a max power of 8000.

crystal conflict

  • When registering for a match in Crystalline Conflict, Crystal level players can now be matched with players who are Diamond 3 (with 1 rising star) or higher.

Systems

  • Players will no longer be automatically disconnected after 30 minutes of inactivity.

Fixed issues

  • An issue when playing as a Paladin in PvE where the power of Holy Spirit and Holy Circle did not increase when the player had a stack of Requiescat.
  • An issue where the Primal Scream PvP warrior action description did not note the power of Primal Rend and Chaotic Cyclone being increased under the effect of Inner Release.
  • * This is an issue only in the description. The action works as expected.
  • An issue when playing as a Gunbreaker in PvP where the description of some actions after performing Continuation while under Junction Healer’s effect did not note its healing effect range is 15 yalms .
  • * This is an issue only in the descriptions. Actions work as expected.
  • An issue where the description of the ninja PvP Three Mudra action did not note the action changes in Meisui under the effect of Three Mudra.
  • * This is an issue only in the description. The action works as expected.
  • An issue where attempting to perform the Wanderer’s Minuet PvE Bard action multiple times in quick succession would prevent players from queueing another action for execution.
  • An issue where the Barrier Power listed in Machinist Bishop Autoturret’s PvP action description was incorrect.
  • * This is an issue only in the description. The action works as expected.
  • An issue where the description of Gunbreaker Terminal Trigger PvP Action, Honing Dance Dancer PvP Action, and Wildfire Machinist PvP Action did not note that their attack radius is 5 yalms.
  • * This is an issue only in the descriptions. Actions work as expected.
  • An issue in PvP where the additional effect of the Move redmage action was mistakenly increasing the healing power of the Southern Cross Break limit.
  • Other minor text issues have also been fixed.
