How to Effectively Survive in the Deep Dark Biome in Minecraft 1.19 The Wild Update

The Deep Dark Biome in the next Minecraft 1.19 The Savage Update will be one of the scariest biomes ever added to the famous sandbox title. Since its initial announcement during the 2020 Live event, players have been excited to explore this dangerous place and encounter the terrifying Guardian who inhabits it.

Although Mojang has made the beast much stronger, there are several ways players can effectively traverse the biome.

Well, now that you’ve gone and done it… All that noise you made woke up the guardian! Will you test your mettle in #TheWildUpdate? See you on June 7! https://t.co/MasruunFU8

Previously, The Deep Dark Biome and the Warden were supposed to be released in the Caves and Cliffs update. However, Mojang pushed them away because they wanted to expand the features.

Later, at the Live 2021 event, they reintroduced these features with a new structure called Ancient City that will generate in the biome. Mojang observed the Guardian’s weaknesses and made it stronger with the release of every Minecraft 1.19 The Wild Update snapshot. Here’s how to deal with the new additions.

Ways to effectively survive in the Deep Dark Biome in Minecraft 1.19 The Wild Update

Use rugs and wool

The Deep Dark Biome in Minecraft 1.19 The Wild Update is filled with different types of sculk blocks, some of which can detect sound vibrations. Blocks like sculk sensors are the most dangerous as they can activate with any sound vibration and therefore activate the sculk shrieker block which summons the Director.

However, these blocks do not detect the sounds of Rugs and wool blocks at all. Whatever sound these blocks make will not create a strong sonic vibration that could activate the sculk sensor.

If players place, walk, run, or even jump on them, they will not trigger sculk blocks. Therefore, using them in the Deep Dark Biome in Minecraft 1.19 The Wild Update will be a game changer.

Players can bring stacks of these blocks into the biome and create a network of safe passages on which they can run and jump. They can even block sculk sensors by placing wool blocks all around them and preventing their beeps from going to sulky criers.

Even if players accidentally summon the guardian, they can easily escape the area without alerting the beast by using these passages made of carpets or woolen blocks. Along with providing solid armor and weapons, this is the most efficient way to survive in this creepy biome.

Plan an easy escape route

In the upcoming Minecraft 1.19 The Wild update, players might stumble upon the new biome and feel like diving headfirst into exploration. However, they must carefully plan their expedition if they wish to survive.

If players make even the slightest sound, the howler will summon the guardian, and running away from the beast will be quite difficult simply because of its strength. The guardian can run fast and fire an all-penetrating sonic boom.

Therefore, before entering the biome, players must build the fastest and safest worst-case escape route.
