Apple’s iOS 16 will feature a revamped Lock screen with widgets, new wallpapers and more

Apple is gearing up for one of the biggest tech events of the year, WWDC 2022 (Apple Worldwide Developers Conference), where it’s expected to unveil the next iPhone.

The tech giant will also release the next software update, iOS 16, which is expected to come with lots of exciting features. According to new leaks, iOS16 will bring new tools such as upgraded locks as well as existing updates for proprietary apps including Health and Messages.

The report further reveals that the upcoming iOS will also bring notification updates and new multitasking features for iPad.

It looks like Apple is planning to merge the left of the home screen – Today View – section with its line of widgets and turn it into a full lock screen itself.

It is also reported that iOS 16 will bring an “Always-On” display feature which is similar to what users see on Apple Watch. Although this feature has been available on Android smartphones for quite some time now, it is interesting to see how Apple is integrating it into their devices through iOS 16.

Apple WWDC 2022 will begin on June 6 and will be streamed live for fans around the world. The tech conference sees thousands of attendees every year, where Apple announces the latest looks, frame, and updates to its gadgets.

Besides iOS, fans can also expect upgrades from Apple for iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS.
