Henriquez, who testified that Depp had been physically abusive to her as well as her sister, posted a long missive under a black square with the words #istandwithamberheard typed in white letters.

“Yesterday, today and tomorrow, I will always be proud of you for standing up for yourself, for testifying both here in Virginia and in the UK, and for being the voice of so many who cannot speak about the things that happen behind closed doors,” she wrote.

“We knew this was going to be a tough battle and the cards were against us.

“But you got up and spoke regardless. I am so honored to testify for you, and I would do it a million times over because I know what I saw and because the truth is forever on your side.

“I am so sorry that this was not reflected in the decision made by this jury, but I will never give up on you, and no one but you will.

“Always by your side.”

Testifying in court in Fairfax, Va., during the trial – in which Depp was awarded $10 million in damages and heard $2 million after it was discovered Depp’s lawyer had him Defamed – Whitney Henriquez said Depp once called her a “whore” and described him as jealous and controlling.

She also testified that she found herself in the middle of fights — literally and figuratively — between Heard and Johnny Depp during their troubled relationship.

She said she personally saw Depp punch Heard just a month after they got married.

Henriquez said the fight took place in March 2015, when Heard found evidence that Pirates of the Caribbean star had previously had an extramarital affair.

Henriquez recounted that an inebriated Depp blamed Heard for forcing him into the extramarital encounter.

At one point, she said, she was caught between Depp and Heard as he walked up a flight of stairs to confront Heard.

Henriquez said she was punched in the back, and Heard became furious and “landed one” on Depp, with Henriquez wedged in between.

One of Depp’s bodyguards broke up the fight but “by then Johnny had already grabbed Amber by the hair with one hand and was repeatedly punching her in the face with the other,” Henriquez said. .

It was the only time, Henriquez said, that she personally witnessed an assault.

While many Whitney Henriquez followers showed their support in the comments under her Instagram post, others did not.

“Sending you love Amber,” one follower wrote, while others echoed the hashtag #istandwithamberheard.

But another wrote: “In your dreams.

“Unfollow again,” wrote another.

Depp filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Heard after he wrote a 2018 Washington Post opinion piece describing himself as a “public figure representing domestic violence”.

Heard sued for $100 million after one of Depp’s attorneys gave an interview saying Heard’s abuse allegations were an “elaborate hoax.”

Heard’s attorney, Elaine Bredehoft, said shortly after the jury ruled in Heard’s favor that the Aquaman the actress would “absolutely not” be able to pay the $10.4 million in damages she now owes Depp.
