A cleaning guru has shared her homemade spray that she says gets rid of mold and keeps it from coming back.
Chantel Mila, who goes through Mama Mila online, shared the mildew-killing recipe using only vinegar, clove oil and tea tree oil in a video posted on her popular ICT Tac page.
In a spray bottle, the melbourne mom of two pours a cup of vinegar saying the acidity helps kill mold spores.

Then she adds 20 drops of clove oil which acts as an antifungal agent, killing mold spores.
Finally, the queen of the organization adds 20 drops of tea tree oil, which she claims helps prevent mold from returning.
She said to then spray the concoction on a mildew-prone surface and “leave it for 20 minutes while the spray does the hard work” and rinse off.
In the comments, Chantel said peppermint oil is also an antifungal and can be used instead of clove oil.
Then she adds 20 drops of clove oil which acts as an antifungal agent, killing mold spores and 20 drops of tea tree oil which she says helps keep mold from coming back.
She said to then spray the concoction on a mildew-prone surface and “leave it for 20 minutes while the spray does the hard work” and rinse off.
Her video racked up over 51,000 views in just 12 hours and garnered thousands of likes.
It’s not the first time Chantel’s handy home hacks have gone viral – previously, she wowed her fans with her three tips to make your home smell divine.
The 32-year-old said the best thing about the hacks is that they start working instantly and your home smells fresher in no time.
The first tip can make any home smell like your favorite coffee – and all you need is a candle, a heatproof bowl, and a few coffee beans.
‘Place the coffee grounds or coffee beans in a heatproof bowl with a tealight. The heat from the candle will warm the coffee and your whole house will smell amazing,” she said – before warning not to leave the candle unattended.
The second trick is perfect for the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry rooms.
“Clean your sink with baking soda on a lemon to remove rust stains, cut dirt,” she said.

She uses baking soda on a lemon for the second round – it’s used to clean sinks leaving them sparkling and odorless.
The video demonstration revealed how baking soda topped with lemon made the sink shine in seconds.
The third took thirty minutes to take effect but changes the game, according to the star.
‘Place 10 drops of essential oil in 1/2 cup of baking soda. Sprinkle on carpets, leave for an hour and vacuum to remove carpet odors.
“Check your vacuum cleaner manual to see if your vacuum cleaner can be used with fine particles,” she said.
Chantel uses an old vacuum cleaner for the hack and says she’s “never had a problem”.
The post was liked by more than 20,000 of her fans in the first 24 hours, with many comments thanking her for the “amazing” advice.
‘I just made the mattress today with baking soda and oils. It made the whole room smell so fresh,’ one woman wrote on the video.
