Earlier today, the streaming community was shocked to see Zack’s alternative channel become banned. A thread about it has become a trending post on the streamer-oriented subreddit, r/LivestreamFail.
Fans have speculated that the Twitch content creator was banned because some players uttered the N-word in Diablo Immortal.
Asmongold talks about Twitch being banned on his alt account, zackrawrr
Asmon uploaded an eight-minute video earlier today on his main YouTube channel talking about his recent suspension from the livestreaming platform.
The streamer confirmed that his secondary account was banned while playing Diablo Immortal due to hateful and unmoderated behavior in his chat:
“So, effectively, I was streaming Diablo Immortal, which to be fair should in itself be grounds for suspension, but unfortunately Twitch did something even dumber than that.”
His speech continued:
“They decided to suspend me for hateful and unmoderate conduct in my chat and I’m not talking about my chat on Twitch, I’m talking about my chat box on Diablo Immortal.”
Asmongold went on to mention how the player wrote the N-word in-game and managed to bypass the language filter:
“I had been up for maybe five or ten seconds, I was readjusting my blanket here and I had my chat displayed and doing it, there was a person in the chat box who typed the word N and they didn’t type it obviously I have the language filter on so they had to use special ways to get around it so they put periods between each letter so it was n period , I dot, etc., you know how it goes.
The Twitch star talked a bit more explaining how he didn’t want to pay more attention to the racist player in the game. Things, however, didn’t go the right way as Twitch ended up banning him. for not having addressed the situation at the time:
“Twitch decided to suspend me because I didn’t adequately address the situation, even though I spent five minutes afterwards talking about it and going over why it’s stupid and the fact that people who do that are just boring attention-seeking child-men!”
He went on to express his frustration:
“Apparently that wasn’t enough and so Twitch suspended my account with no apparent reason to appeal and remove the suspension.”
Asmongold also added:
“So the reason why I think this really pisses me off is because of the fact that I clearly didn’t support all of this and it’s also the implication that due to the suspension I’m in some way kinda complicit or okay or i approve of the racism being on my stream, which i find completely disgusting and absolutely an insult to me!
Fans React To Banning Asmongold’s Alternate Channel From Twitch
More than 850 fans have flocked to give their thoughts on the streamer’s recent suspension. Several fans wanted to know the reason for the unexpected World of Warcraft players Prohibition of contraction.
Fans took the opportunity to crack jokes saying Asmon got banned for playing Diablo Immortal in flux.
Some fans sarcastically said the ban was justified after playing Blizzard Entertainment’s controversial mobile game.
Reddit user u/Ashgur provided a reasonable and speculative response mentioning that the player was racist in-game by saying the N-word in the game’s chat room.
Several fans were surprised to learn that the A true king co-founder was banned for something beyond his control.
