I worked in a small bar in Perth. One of the bar flies said to me one day: “Internet! What good did it do anyone? At the time, I thought, what a fool – what about massive information sharing or connecting with distant relatives? But the more I think about what he said, honestly, the more right he is. Nine out of 10 people simply use the Internet to send recordings of farts to their friends. It’s a fact I got on the internet, so it must be true.
Anyway, here are some things that make me laugh!
1. Nick Capper’s Pig Palace
Nick is one of the best comedians in the country. I was going to write something about how much I love and respect his work but when I checked this YouTube link, I realized that the moron didn’t credit me in producing his show. Either way, go watch it and leave a comment because as we all know everyone on the internet has an opinion and they should be heard all the time, even if you’re an asshole!

Realtors are the best people in the world and I respect them. Just kidding, it’s massive flogging and this Instagram account highlights their douchebaggery. There are so many crazy scammers who love the grind presented on this page. Who would have thought that 40% of real estate agents have nunchucks? (Anyone who has encountered one.)
3. The Little Dum Dum Club Podcast
You’re probably thinking, Brett, why would you recommend someone else’s podcast when you have a much cooler one called flat stick i.e. dirt dykes, car racing and action sports? I would say it’s because I’m a considerate person. The Little dum dum club is probably Australia’s second funniest podcast and has loads of crazy guests and crazy stories in every episode. This and Mid-flight fight are the only podcasts I listen to every week.
4. The rooster attacks a meteorologist on live television
I’ve never watched morning TV – too many fake smiles and Botox for my taste! But in this clip, the meteorologist gets flushed by a rooster while trying to make a feel-good story. It makes me feel good every time I see it!
5. Grace Jarvis on Twitter
being bullied by all the other Animorphs kids because I stopped concentrating halfway through the transformation and now I’m stuck in the weird middle zone between the girl and the armadillo
— Grace Jarvis (@gracejarvisohno) June 4, 2022
I’m dyslexic, so I hate reading. If I had to have a slogan, it would be: “Words are for nerds”. But Grace’s tweets (which she also reposts on her Instagram) are the only thing I’ll read, other than the newspaper that paid me to write this (wink). She’s an extremely funny stand-up, so check her out!

Tim is one of Australia’s funniest comedians. His characters are perfect and his stand-up comedy is ruining me. I love it. Give him his own TV show now!
7. Guy falling in a bowl with a three-wheeler
First of all, it’s the worst bike I’ve ever seen. Three-wheelers have all the danger of a motorcycle and none of the comfort! If you ain’t Billy Connolly on tour, drop ’em…it’s crap. This video rules the roost though, as the guy starts to get confident and then wipes himself clean. It went viral, but it’s fair to say most of the clicks are mine. Just when you think it’s over, it gets worse.
8. Donkey 3.5
I’ve been doing stand-up for 11 years and nothing I’ve ever written or ever will write will be as funny as Eric Manaka chopping an ice hockey puck to the nuts. That 2011 movie is on Netflix – so good to see them again and grayer than ever in Jackass Forever. Nothing is funnier than Jackass and if you disagree – YOU ARE WRONG.

I just got off a tour with this guy and he made me laugh the whole time. I’ve been a big fan of his TikToks for a while. It’s mostly him cooked in a bush doof – good wholesome content. Bypass it!
10. Electric Redfern
John Cruckshank is a wild stand-up comedian/skateboarder from Sydney. He made this self-funded movie about a stand-up comedian called John Cruckshank who retires to work as an electrician and it’s one of the best comedies I’ve seen in a long time. Some people wait for someone to give them a blank check to do something good, but people like John do it! If it’s funny, it will float.
