The the myriad of facial expressions and cute antics of a four year old captured the hearts of the world as the world celebrated 70 years of Her Majesty’s reign.
However, royal commentator Katie Nicholl told 9Honey that we probably won’t see little Louis in public again for some time.
Despite his behavior spark criticism for the parenting skills of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridgeit’s not due to the online backlash they’ve received — in fact, it’s thanks to their parenting strategies, says Nicholl.
“I don’t think people should expect to see more Cambridge kids overall, I think it will be reserved for the big occasions,” she told 9Honey.
“The reason the Cambridge kids are well-rounded, adjusted the way they are, is largely because they’ve been allowed to live relatively ordinary lives.
“This is hugely important to William and Kate, so don’t expect to see their schooling and happy family life interrupted by too many official commitments.
“Although they are still so young, these will be rare but this [jubilee] was considered a “significant occasion”.
Nicholl says the positive impact this parenting style has had on older siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte is now becoming apparent – especially as the duo made their first-ever royal visit during the four-day celebrations earlier this month.
“They made these commitments with absolute confidence and composure,” said the author, who contributed to the official report. Platinum Jubilee Commemorative Albumsaid of their trip to wales.
“I think it’s very important to William and Catherine that their children not only understand the work mum and dad do, but also the work they will one day do.
“So we’re also seeing the preparation of the next generation of royals. But I think all of these things are very, very important and very significant, and I don’t think it’s all accidental.
“I think it’s all very, very carefully orchestrated and done deliberately.”
This suggests the next time we see the Cambridge children won’t be until September, when Prince Louis starts primary school.
William and Kate posted photos of George and Charlotte’s early days at Thomas’s Battersea in 2017 and 2019 respectively, so it’s expected to be again for Louis.
It has been reported that the three children will start together at a new school in Berkshire as The Cambridges move from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Cottage in Windsorto get closer to the Queen.
