“Instead of waking up to their mother’s loving embrace, her poor children received the shocking news that they would never see their mother again,” family friend Rend Nashi wrote on a GoFundMe page for the family.

Daniel took to Twitter this week to ask his followers to send love to family and friends.

‘Just to answer everything in one message. My partner of 16 years, the mother of our five children passed away this morning,” he wrote.

“I’m going to be away for a bit, take care of yourself, tell your loved ones that you love them.”

Family friend Ayman Khamas wrote on Facebook about his “friend of over 20 years who (died) just two weeks after giving birth, leaving behind a husband and five children, including the newborn who will not know his mother”.

Mr Khamas asked if people could help the family through the GoFundMe page.

“Money will never bring a beautiful mother and a loving wife back to his family (but) it will certainly help not only to cover funeral expenses, but also to provide for the needs of the family,” he wrote.

Mr Khamas said the family would need help ‘until the father can return to work once the newborn is old enough to go to daycare’.

“It is also important to ensure that children have what they need to continue school and education so that they do not take the wrong path in life,” he added, thanking everyone who could make a donation.
