Mini introduced three new Special Editions, which add various trim upgrades for around $1,000 to $2,500 more than a standard Mini Yours variant.

Mini Australia released a trio of special editions – Resolute, untamed and unspeakable – whose orders are now open, before the first arrivals in showrooms at the end of 2022.
Each model mini sells is available with one of the special editions – Resolute for the hatch and ConvertibleNew for the club man and Untamed for the Compatriot – adding a variety of unique colors, trims and rims in three different styles.
Mini Australia has not confirmed which variants the new editions are based on, but compared to the top-end Mini Yours versions of each model, the special editions cost between $1,000 and $2,420 more (excluding the five-door Cooper Resolute hatch, which costs $1700 less).
Pricing starts at $45,800 plus road charges for the five-door Cooper Resolute hatchback and goes up to $72,250 plus road charges for the JCW Clubman Untold. Full price and spec lists for all models are included at the bottom of this story.
Available on the Cooper S and Cooper SE three-door electric hatchbacks, the Cooper and Cooper S five-door hatchbacks and the Cooper S convertible, the Resolute Edition is meant to showcase “individuality, traditional style, self-confidence and incomparable charisma”.
Highlights of this variant include Rebel Green paint, white or black mirrors and roof, bronze exterior accents, 17 or 18 inch wheels, black badges, gold hood stripes and leather upholstery black or light fabric/leatherette.
The Untold Edition is limited to Cooper S and John Cooper Works Clubmans, and adds sage green metallic paint, unique 18-inch wheels, brass accents, black badging, black or green leather upholstery, and the sets Excitement and Driving, among other new features.
Meanwhile, Untamed Edition versions of the Countryman Cooper S and Cooper SE plug-in hybrid features Momentum Gray paint, body-color exterior accents, matte blue striping, black and blue badging, 18-inch two-tone wheels inches and green or black leather seats.
No changes have been made to the vehicles’ powertrains, meaning they carry over the following engines from their donor variants
- Cooper (5-door hatchback): 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, 100 kW/220 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 8.2 seconds
- Cooper S (all models): 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol, 141 kW/280 Nm, 0-100 km/h 6.7-7.5 seconds
- Cooper SE (Countryman) plug-in hybrid: 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo, 9.6 kWh electric motor and battery, 165 kW/385 Nm combined, 60 km electric range, 6.8 seconds 0-100 km/ h
- Electric Cooper SE (3-door hatch): 135 kW/270 Nm electric motor, 32.6 kWh battery, 233 km electric range, 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds
- John Cooper Works (Clubman): 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol, 225 kW/450 Nm, 5.1 seconds 0-100 km/h.
All models are front-wheel drive except the Clubman JCW and Countryman Cooper SE PHEV. The Cooper hatch uses a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the Cooper S and JCW use eight-speed torque converter autos, and the Cooper SE PHEV uses a six-speed auto.
The Mini Resolute, Untold and Untamed Edition 2023 range is now available to order, ahead of the first Australian arrivals expected in late 2022.
