WHAT IS AMAZON PRIME DAY?

Amazon Prime Day is the biggest online shopping platform sales event of the year. Think of it as a Black Friday and Boxing Day sale, but it’s dedicated to the shopping platform alone – and they sell just about anything you can think of.

This year, Amazon Prime Day drops on Tuesday, July 12 at 12 a.m. AEST and it will run for 48 hours until 11:59 p.m. AEST on Wednesday, July 13.

Australian shoppers will also have the option to purchase UK and US deals through the Amazon Global Store until 5pm AEST on Thursday, July 14. So really, you have 65 hours of Prime Day shopping to spend.

Prime Day is offering some of the biggest discounts we’ve seen all year, on highly sought-after items. Think Apple AirPods, iRobot Roomba robot vacuums and Instant Pot Kitchen Appliances.

Other top brands we expect to see on sale include Barbie, Bosch, Bose, Garmin, GHD, Lego, Lenovo, North Face, Nintendo, Oculus and Samsung.
