game of thrones‘ spin-off with Kit Harrington has been all but confirmed, with his former co-star, Emilia Clarke, now weighing in on the news.
Earlier this month, it was reported that HBO had put in early development a spin-off following the adventures of Jon Snow banished after the events of the show’s eighth season.
And despite no official confirmation from the network or the actor himself, Clarke stepped in and put fans at ease. The rumors are true.

“He told me about it,” she said BBC. “And I know it exists. It happens.”
“As far as I know, it was created by Kit, so it’s been there from the beginning. So what you’ll hopefully watch, if it happens, is certified by Kit Harington.”
The news may come as a surprise as Harrington previously spoke about his desire to avoid overly similar roles. that of the night watchman.
“Having portrayed a man who was quiet, who was heroic, I feel like going forward that’s a role I don’t want to play anymore,” he said at the time. “It’s not a male lead that the world needs to see much more of.”

Unfortunately, Clarke isn’t eager to follow Harrington’s lead and reverse her decision to part ways with the show.
The actress expressed her desire to watch the next Dragon House “as a new viewer,” but, while grateful for her time on the show, she’s ready to move on.
“No, I think I’m done,” she clarified.
game of thrones seasons 1-8 are available on DVD and Blu-ray. Spin off Dragon House is filming and will premiere on August 21, 2022 in the UK.
