Prince Harry and by Megan Markle The decision to quit the Royal Family has caused more problems for the family than the underage sexual assault allegations against Prince Andrew, according to expert Tina Brown.
Brown, who is also the author of several books on the royal family such as Palace paperstold the Bloomberg podcast In the city Andrew has been ‘locked up’ while Harry is ‘much more of a problem… he keeps them all on his back wondering where the problems are coming from’.

Prince Andrew, Queen Elizabeth II’s third child, has been charged with participate in sexual activities with Virginia Giuffre in 2001. Giuffre, who was 17 at the time, alleged that he sexually assaulted her three times.
Giuffre claims she was trafficked by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his partner Ghislaine Maxwell, and “passed like a fruit platter” among the powerful associates of the couple.
Prince Andrew denies Giuffre’s accusations and claims he does not remember ever meeting Giuffre.
A now famous photo has emerged of the duke with his hand around young Giuffre’s hip, posing in front of Ghislaine Maxwell. According The GuardianGiuffre’s claims were never tested in court.

Andrew reached an undisclosed settlement with his accuser earlier this year, ending the legal proceedings.
Although he has largely avoided the spotlight since then, he has appeared publicly at services for his father, Prince Phillip.
Allegations of child sex abuse and the resulting outrage against the Duke, which Brown called Prince Andrew’s ‘cancellation’, have made it difficult for the family to deal with the collateral damage to public image of the royal institution.
“It was a sad sight to say the least when he appeared at Prince Phillip’s memorial alongside him,” Brown said. However, Brown said poor public relations is easier to control as the royal family has largely “closed off” the issue around the prince.
Additionally, Brown claims that “people understand from time to time that the Queen is going to want her son next to her… Everyone is going to think ‘okay, she’s 96, let her have him. .'”

On the other hand, Brown believes Harry and Meghan’s decision to step back from royal duties following a avalanche of racist and hostile reporting British tabloids is a bigger problem for the royal family.
Unlike Andrew’s situation, the Royal Family cannot tightly control the couple’s media appearances, meaning they are free to expose the royal’s failure to provide mental health support, family tensions and alleged racist comments from loved ones to the media.
Brown said “Andrew didn’t exactly improve on the gravity of corona and Harry’s constant bomb-throwing either”, and some Commonwealth countries such as Jamaica and even Australia have moved away from the monarchy, she believes the royal institution will remain stable.
“I think the monarchy is going nowhere.”
